“…The devil…was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies,
he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44
The enemy is the father of lies and subtle suggestions. His goal is to destroy, murder and wipe out your children. His plan is to aggressively attack your sons mind and destroy your daughters identity by whispering and depositing lies deep into your kiddos’ heart, soul and mind.
Here are 10 lies so many kiddos believe today…
- I am what my friends say about me.
- God will never forgive me.
- I am “somebody” because my parents HAVE material wealth.
- I am “nobody” because my parents DO NOT HAVE material wealth.
- I am stupid.
- Pretty people are “worth” more.
- I need a boyfriend or girlfriend.
- I am ugly.
- I am a failure. “Failure is always an event; never a person” – Craig Groeschel
- That your kiddos are all alone.
This past weekend I had the privilege to speak at Cornerstone Chandler, a great church in Chandler, Arizona that is led by an incredible man of God…Pastor Linn Winters.
My new friend, Sharon Johnson, who is on staff at Cornerstone Chandler told me that when her kiddos start to believe the lies of the enemy, that she has taught them to say…
YOUR LIES HAVE NO POWER OVER ME!!!
So when the enemy starts to creep in, her kids scream “your lies have no power over me!”
When brothers and sisters start to tease and make fun, her kids scream “your lies have no power over me!”
When Sharon and her husband start to discipline her kiddos, they scream “your lies have no power over me!”
I think you get the idea.
Mom and Dad…we gotta step up to the plate, teach our children to recognize these lies and teach them to scream “your lies have no power over me!!”
What is 1 lie that your kiddos are starting to believe?
