15 Problems every kid will Face

problems

Ok mom and dad…

It’s time to get out your notes app, steno pad or Big Chief Tablet, you gotta write this one down.

The “problem” is rarely the “problem!”  The relationship is typically the “problem!”

I’m thinking you need to hear that one, one more time!

The “problem” is rarely the “problem!”  The relationship is typically the “problem!”

Here is what I’m getting at with this one…

15 problems most kids struggle with, or will struggle with at some point…

  • Body image, weight and beauty issues
  • Standing up for Jesus when no one else will
  • Balancing work, play and school
  • Masturbation
  • Drugs and alcohol
  • Low energy and depression
  • Popularity
  • Opposite sex issues
  • Stress
  • Divorce and broken families
  • Friend issues, lack of friends and loneliness
  • Pornography
  • Too busy
  • Bullying
  • Academic pressure

Your kids WILL deal with many of, if not all of these issues.  When these challenges arise, so many parents try to control, fix and delete these issues from their kids lives…when in reality, the primary antibiotic to these issues is a strong, loving, grace giving, non judgmental relationship with your kids.

Here are some tips on how to strengthen the trust, intimacy and relationship with your kids…

What we need to do is have open communication and when they get stuck embrace the issue with them and solve it together. Instructing your child what to do does not work.
