We all demand that our kiddos apologize when they wrong a sibling, friend or adult, but what about modeling the apology process to them when you blow it?
God gave us the perfect example of leadership in Jesus. Jesus showed men the way to lead their wives and families by serving them, not dominating them.
Mom and Dad, it’s time to stop shelling out the dough and teach your kids work ethic and responsibility.
Personal accountability is the only answer. It may be ugly, but it must be dealt with – or it will continue to manifest itself in generation after generation.
But mostly, I’m thankful that God opened my eyes to how much my daughter still needs me to lead her, to guide her, and to encourage her. She needs my tenderness, not provocation and embittering (Ephesians 6:4; Colossians 3:21).
