Let me start by saying that I am one proud father!!! My 11 year old daughter, Kylie, is posting today. I hope you will love this as much as I do.
So, here’s Kylie…
GIRL DRAMA!! Been there done that don’t want to go back! But do I have a choice…not really! Sometimes I get caught up in it! But that’s what happens in Jr. High, right.
So the other day me and a good friend were dressing up like dorks and going around our neighborhood saying “Are you having a sad day, well if so we are the happy helpers”! We went to the first house and made their day happy! And then we left and ran into two girls that are going into 7th grade. We gave them some entertainment and then we had a conversation about middle school it went a little like this…
First they said “ are you guys excited for the middle school dances?” (next year will be my first year in the middle school) Then they asked us “ do you guys have boy friends?” We said “no!!!!!” and then they laughed at us. Next they asked if we were going to grind with the boys at the dances. Seriously!! What kind of question is that!!?! Me and my friend screamed NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We talked for a little bit and then they asked us again! REALLY!?!? Once again we screamed NO!!!!!!!!! Then they asked us if we were joking. These girls have got a problem!!!!!!! For the last time we yelled no!!!! After we walked away, my friend and I talked about what happened.
We couldn’t believe they laughed about us not having boyfriends. They should of know since we were dressed like dorks and having the kind of fun 6th grade girls SHOULD be having. And I couldn’t believe they were asking if we were going to grind.
After that situation I just think they don’t have great parents like I do, that teach me to do what I did! So parents I encourage you guys to talk to your kids about how to handle kids like this……teach them right from wrong, teach them to say no, teach them to stand up for themselves and teach them not to cave under peer pressure.
