Tech Savvy Parenting

Tech Savvy Parenting is the most comprehensive, effective, informative, practical “all things tech” book that I have ever seen.

Mom & Dad…you have absolutely lost your mind if you don’t get this book today!

The author, Brian Housman, is a new friend of mine.  Brian is the Director of Awake To Life Ministries and this guy is changing families all over the planet!

Here is a glimpse into some of the Tech Savvy Parenting chapters…

  • Controlling the Cell Phone Monster
  • Got a Teen Texting Addict in Your Home
  • Setting iPhone and iPod Parental Controls
  • Understanding Video Game Ratings
  • Escapism with No Escape
  • Social Networking Etiquette for Parents:  Facebook Faux Pas
  • How Young is Too Young for Facebook
  • The Importance of Facebook Privacy Controls
  • Helping Your Teen Protect Their Online Reputation
  • Internet Safety:  Finding the Right Software Choice
  • Allure of Internet Pornography

These are just a few of the “too hot to handle” chapters that Brian deals with.

But here is what you have to know…

Tech Savvy Parenting is not your typical book!  TSP is an interactive, multimedia rich, resource loaded e-book that will change your kiddos lives.

Each chapter is going to walk you through a different issue of technology that your child or teen is wading into.  This is not a book you can simply plow through.  As a matter of fact, it’s probably best not to read it straight through.  There is going to be too much information – too many new things to absorb all at once.

TSP is an interactive book with more than 28 photographs, 16 infographics, 32 resource links, and if you are reading on an iPad or Nook there are an additional 16 videos to watch.

And today is partnering with AwakenToLife Ministries and we are giving away 4 free digital downloads of Tech Savvy Parenting!

I would love to read this book. We have three teenagers in the house now. It gets harder and harder to know what to allow and not allow as new gadgets come out each year. Texting has become a huge issue in our house. Where do you draw the line? Is there a line? Things like that. I already like your website on facebook. Thanks for the offer to win too!

I need this book because being a mom of 2 and 1 stepson, today’s world has so much technology, this would be an amazing resource for me and for me to share with others!!! Fingers crossed!!!

I need this book, because not only do I have one middle schooler, but my four year old interrupted our game of Candy Land the other day because she had to answer a text message. Yes, it was a pretend phone and a pretend text message, but I think it is an indication of a problem in our house.

I’d love to have this as a parent of three incredibly tech savvy children, but also as a great resource for myself and other parents as a youth pastor.

Three kids in high school, middle school and elementary. We’re a tech family but we could use some guidance.

Ok, so I’m pretty sure this book, tech savvy parenting, will be excellent for my husband and I. We just entered the realm of teenage girl 2 months ago when we became foster parents to a 13 year old girl and her 9 year old brother. We have 2 children of our own, both girls. They are 6 & 9, and will be teenagers eventually. But in the meantime, we have a teenager earlier than expected. ;)
Thank you so much for considering us!

It looks like a good book. I am going to download it for sure as often I get asked about teenagers. Thanks Chris

We’re a technologically adept family (more or less), but we’re now dealing with teaching our kids self-control and Internet safety. Unfortunately not sure whether it’s taking. I’m actually monitoring my kids at times without their knowing and then dropping hints to get them to ‘fess up, but they don’t. So definitely I’m one of those parents who need this.
